A Court of Silver Flames | Non-Spoiler Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5

This book. I don’t know where to begin. The first time I read it, I devoured it so quickly that I couldn’t wrap my head around everything that happened. Since I read it so early, and I had no one to vent to, I ended up recording myself talking. I would include it, but it’s mostly just mindless babbling and a whole bunch of OMG OMG OMGs.

I’ve been waiting for this novel for over three years now.

But I never imagined how significantly this book would rock my world.

This book had me in tears right from the start. Nesta’s journey, struggle, love, strength, and perseverance hit deep. Her work through depression, finding self-love, deeming herself WORTHY of love; It’s so important. It was so crucial for me to read this book. I was looking forward to it because I love Cassian and Nesta’s dynamic, and I wanted to read about their journey. But what I wasn’t expecting was a book that taught me strength. I was expecting a love story, but this book is so much more than that. It’s a journey through depression and self-loathing and the path to inner peace (Ataraxia 😉). I don’t remember a book having me in tears as many times as this one did. It’s a book I’ll reread multiple times after this, and I highly recommend it.
